The Suggestopedic Cycle of Instruction (adults)
The suggestopedic cycle of teaching and learning is performed in four stages.
-
- Introduction
- Concert Session (active and passive)
- Elaboration
- Production
Introduction
In desuggestive pedagogy the teacher offers an interesting and amusing presentation that includes the new lexical and grammatical learning material appearing in the lesson in which students are continuously invited to take part.
Concert session
The lesson, which contains all the new grammatical and lexical information offered during the introduction, is read by the teacher twice in two different ways with two different types of classical music: active and passive concert.
Elaboration
The lesson is elaborated through many different surprising activities, games, songs with the continuous participation of the students.
Production
Students are invited to tell a little story without interruption for corrections inspired by the grammatical and lexical information of the lesson.
Preventive Suggestopedia (children)
Children need special books, games, songs, peripheral perceptions, and an appropriate suggestopedic approach different than the one for adults.
The method for children is called Preventive Suggestopedia because it protects children from many programming and restricting pedagogical influences of society.
